Has anyone here tried an air ride kit on an XLT Ranger with 4 wheel drive? I may not even get the kit this year, but I would like to find a decently priced kit that I can air up with a tire air compressor (and maybe convert to a tanked system I can adjust while riding). I intend to have stock ground clearance, or maybe a couple inches more, and it will mostly be for street duty, with some off-road use at the hunting club. I like the concept of it being softer without a load in the bed of the truck, and then firming up when I go to haul something heavy. There's a truck I'm likely about to buy and I'm considering adding an air-ride kit to it sometime after purchase.
The kit need not be one of those $2000 all-in-one kits I'm seeing occasionally, but mostly a self-contained two-strut kit I can bolt on at my liesure when I change the shocks. (no modification needed).
