i've been having power and acceleration problems for some time now and can't figure it out i've tried pretty much everything now short of a new motor, but was hoping it was the tire size throwing everything outta whack. I was wondering which one is better to go with, Hypertec, superchip, diablo, etc. Any help is greatly appreciated about the programmer or the power problem. It wants to go off the line but very quickly falls on its face but won't stall, it also does this when turning a corner and trying to accelerate, only other thing is if the new fuel pump is a dud (but reads full pressure at idle), map, or cats, everything else to do with such a problem has either been changed or checked out.

Re: which programmer
A handheld tuner is no replacement for a quality tune from an experienced tuner. Do research on the web and find you a tuner in your area or get a mail order tune from a respected tuner. I could recommend a few mail order tuners but I don't want to be banned for doing it. A bit of quick research will reap a multitude of tuners for your vehicle. A handheld tuner just doesn't do what a good PCM tune will do for you.

Re: which programmer
what size tires did u put on it? bigger tires will KILL your throttle response. I had the hypertech for my 2000 4.8 it made a BIG difference in shifting but not in power. plus it'll only allow u to raise the speed limiter to 128. I told mine that my tires were an inch bigger and throttle response was AWESOME! but it really wasn't worth the $425. I was gonna try the superchips but a lot of the tuners use diablos and you can download tunes from the internet (sounds like a F'ing MP3 or something) but i don't have any experience with them.
