1969 camaro restoration

hey i want to do a restoration on a camaro and i have a budget of $55000 i have found some shells in the US http://www.mikescustomcars.com/69bodies.htm# and i need to know what type of motor to put in it i was thinking of a 454 or a 502 but i dont know witch one would do best and i found this trans witch i think would be good for it http://www.classicchevy5speed.com/El...81-Tremec.aspx and this is the motor http://www.enginefactory.com/Camaro.htm i think i will need a lot of help from u guys about doing this plzz help and give me some tips

If your doing a "resto" go with the original motor.

If you buy all of your parts seperately, you will struggle to meet your budget. Instead of buying just a shell, buy a project car. Interior, trim, and stock suspension will nickle and dime you to death if you have to reassemble it by buying piece by piece.
