Installed CAI quick question

Yeah i just installed a ractive CAI and my engine seems a lot louder, well not really the engine but the filter to be exact, u can hear the air running through the filter is this normal? Or did i fuck something up when installing it.

sounds like you did it right but the sucking sound should mostly come when you are hittin the throttle

sounds fine to me but to be on the safe side make sure that the air filter is evenly clamps on tight on the intake all the way around

Now you know what an air resonator and a restrictive air filter does. It reduces that noise.

That depends on the rules they set for your area. Just put all the stock stuff back on when you goto emissions checks.

Where I live it is illegal to have a CAI without a permission, which u can get from the so called TUV (but Ill never get one because- this thing is too loud and affects the engine behavior). So dont make urself a head with a silly emissions test :alien2:

Yeah... but you still gotta love that cool "gas leak" hissing sound it makes at idle. Oh yeah! And what about when you turn the ignition off and you hear that final suction of air going through the piping. Mmm... nice.
