93 bonneville instrument cluster problems.

Hi. I have a 1993 pontiac bonneville ssei with the supercharged 3800 and i have been recently having problems with the gauges on the instrument cluster. every now and then all the gauges except the spedometer go dead. Ive heard it could be a wire short. could a code reader help diagnose the problem? Is this a problem with alot of pontiacs?Anyone help would be greatly appreciated.

there is a web site called Dr Wizard someting that repair the instrument clusters. If u google Gm dashboard repair, it should give u the website that u need. I'm currently in talks with them about getting mine repaired.

I purchased an instrument cluster for my 94 ssei because I thought it might be bad but it ended up being my fuel pump sending unit causing bad fuel gage reading. I still have it in my garage and would sell it to you for $100. plus shipping. My email is [email protected]. God Bless, Gene
