Burnout
How would you do a burnout in a grand prix since it's front wheel drive? e-brake? I always wondered how people with fwd do burnouts, I used to have a Dodge Stealth (don't ever buy one) with fwd and I tried to many times but it just wouldn't happen

nah but seriously,, turn your tires a little bit so when you punch it they're not going in a str8 line. that's an easy way to break them loose,, and if they have enough power they'll stay loose until you lay off the gas. at least that's what i did when I used to have a Grand Am and it worked well.

Re: Burnout
Wait do you gotta use any brakes? or just floor the gas? Cuz like I was watchin some videos of them on the 1/4 mile track and they did burnouts and didn't move so I know they didn't just push the gas.

Re: Burnout
You cant be serious, what kind of question is this? My GTP will do a burnout no problem without me even trying most of the time. I dont do many burnouts. the ones i do only last a split second. Tires are kind of expensive, especially for good ones.

Re: Burnout
well i understand what he means. He is talking about when people are at the track and do smoke shows before they race. I got a gtp and it does burnouts pretty easy by mashing the gas but it wont sit there and wont do a smoke show so he means when they smoke em up and dont move much. Must be the ebrake cuz my gtp wont do a smoke show i mean i get some but not like the race vids.

Re: Burnout
when cars line up for their 1/4 or 1/8 mile run they pull up and do there burn out in a bleach box.they do that to heat up there tires and clean them off for the run. a hot tire hooks up better than a cold one.and yes they actually do use bleach at some tracks which gives a little added smoke.

Re: Burnout
if you really want to do a burnout, press the e-brake down, then step on it just enough for it to release without letting the pedal come back up (e-brake is still engaged) step on the gas! Let the e-brake all the way out when you can't see any more due to the smoke!
