wrong. it was designed and built in the US, it was taken to the nurburgring by GM engineers so they could fine-tune the handling on the car, it's all american underneath, and like i said was designed and built in the US. as far as i know, the handling work was all done by GM engineers and non was outsourced.

Another true fact, its a rear wheel drive car. I can't tell how many I meet who thinks it fwd.

GM says the 3.6L CTS engine is built at St Catherines Powertrain, just across from Tonawanda NY engine plant. But my window sticker on my 2005 CTS says my 3.6 was made in the USA. They just recently started building a direct injection version at Flint Michigan Powertrain plant. So I have no idea where your dealer comes up with Izusu unless he is talking about the Duramax diesel engine in the HD trucks.

But fyi, GM and Izusu are joint partners in other ventures. GM Janesville Assembly built nearly 160,000 vehicles in the 2005 calendar year. The assembly plant currently builds the all-new Chevy Tahoe and Suburban, GMC Yukon and Yukon XL, GMC Yukon Denali and Yukon XL Denali and the Isuzu/GM low cab forward commercial truck.
