Are you attending a wedding today?
or maybe getting married yourself? Today is expected to be one of the biggest wedding days in recent history because of the calendar date- 7/7/07. Most if not all of the local establishments in my area that deal with weddings, (i.e. churches, reception halls, banquet facilities ,) have been booked 2 to 3 years in advance for this date. And local florists, bakeries, and caterers have hired on additional temporary help to get them through the onslaught expected this weekend. News reports echo the same info all over the country as well. Couples are hoping that getting married today with the alignment of "7"s will bring luck to their marriage. Time will tell.
I guess if you missed out on today there's always next year- August 8,2008 (8/8/08) and it even falls on a Friday  )

I'm not getting married (AW HELLZ NAW!) but in the small little 30-employee start-up I work for, we have 3 people getting married today! What's more, is that I'm the Coordinator for my department, and all 3 are from my staff! My department only has 8 total employees, and only 3 are even full time!

Dang...why would you want to get married one a day you know everyone else and their mom is getting married. Obviously it's impossible to pick a unqiue date but still...change it up a bit.

I'm having a hard enough time keeping a girlfriend, I definitely ain't gettin hitched today. I got a kanji tatoo that says "born lucky" when I was 17 since my birthday is 7-11 and I've had shitty luck ever since. Good thing marriage is far less permanent

For us in the UK, 7/7/07 is a day of rememberance for those who died in last year's bombings.
