My '01 Grand Am GT has that. The 1999 Trans Am doesn't.
I don't use it anyways.

Grand Am....
Has wheels and tires.
Steering wheel.
This thing that some call a motor.
Slushbox is a perfect word for the crappy tranny.
Has a base for a car seat in the back. Thank god for the latch system.

Trans Am....
No real features. Made to go fast. Then I made it go faster.
CD player is a pile. Can't hear it when un-capped anyways.
Has a ricer hood and wing.

You mean, where the cat isn't. In mid '95 they changed the exhaust layout to a twin cat design and effectively didn't need that bump. But GM was cheap and kept the floor pan the same.

I hated that damn thing... made it uncomfortable to ride passenger in the car. Although I rarely rode passenger in my Z28... I knew the frustration of the passengers who had to sit there.

Dumbass GM.

Re: Tell us something interesting about your car

In 1989 there were only 216 (give or take maybe 5) turbo edition 300zx's built... I have one of those; that is all.
