Where's Perry's Resin

Has anyone received anything from Perry's Resin lately? I placed an order for a Ferrari 333SP back in March with them and have not received anything. I have sent 2 emails which have not been responded to and have tried calling a couple of times. There is no answering machine and am running out of ideas to get in touch with them.

Re: Where's Perry's Resin

welcome to ordering from Perry's Resin. He's inconsistently late--often months at a time. And then sometimes he's not late at all. For all we know he's on vacation.

S'why I try to stick with Reliable Resin for racecar parts and such, he's ALWAYS on time.

Don @ Reliable is pretty good. He's been better as of late, since he gets a lot of business due to other casters horrible customer service. Never ordered from Perry's, can't comment on them.

I got one of the original runs of 333SP's from Perry's, it took 13 months.

Re: Where's Perry's Resin

Order misc parts for him a few years ago.
Took half a year to come in.

The parts quality is nice, but service is poor.

Re: Where's Perry's Resin

If I were you, I would quickly cancel my order...firstly you 're going to be white-hair by the time you receive it and secondly you are going to loose all your hair with this kit !
Quality is so damn poor ! Buy the BBR kit, it's the nicest or the Formula Canada or even if you find it on ebay the Modeler's but the Perry's is such a waste of time and money (very bad fitting)....

Quality is NOT poor, the 333 SP kit is excellent, and the body is thin cast all the way so if one chose to, and it has been done, one can make it full detail buy adding an engine etc. Perry's did the only 1994 original body kit if I'm not mistaken(if that's the version you ordered or if he even still sells that version).

The Modelers one is just a block of resin, what they called their 'desk top' series, not even a full interior.

BBR, excellent for sure. They may have done the 1994 car too, but finding one is another story.

Formula Canada's are very good too.

Re: Where's Perry's Resin

Thanks for the feedback. I guess it will come some day! Veyron, I ordered the 1995 Momo version. Based upon a review at GPMA's it sounds as if the quality is acceptable. Someday I hope to find out

Probably the most respected modeler on gpma rated it as the best he had done several years ago, and this guy has built well over 1000 kits and done many jaw dropping scratchbuilts. Although sold as a curbside, it has most of the engine bay stuff included. Yeah, Randy has a problem with timeliness, but I've not heard complaints about quality. He did open, or maybe it was take over, a shop in a town outside Toronto a while back but I don't know the name.

When I wrote that review (If you're talking about the "Beauty and the Beast" article..WHOA, almost 10 years ago!) it was the best 333sp out..and it still holds up to modern resin kits as well. too bad Randy just can;t seem to get production ironed out...

That would be Whitby Ontario. Bout an hour and change from here. I won't say a single bad thing about the quality of his work at all, just referring to his god-awful customer service and timeliness.

I've tried to contact you several times, and had sent you a daytime number.

Re: Where's Perry's Resin

rmedtr6,

How did this question ended? Did you receive your model?

I brought a similar item in the end of November, and the communication in that period was very good. But, until today, I did not receive anything! I tryed to contact him, but without success.

I have payed with paypal. It is better to wait, or try to open a dispute to try to get my money back?

Thanks very much in advance.

Best regards.

Joćo

Re: Where's Perry's Resin

Good Luck jmcarc1,

Randy and I communicated via email at back in July, he informed me at that time that he was unable to get the rims but would cast a copy of them instead. I asked for him to email me a photo of them but he was not able to do that, but he assured me that they would be great.

It has now been nearly a year and I still haven't received my kit. To be honest with you I forgot I even ordered it until this post resurrected. After posting here I think I will send an email to Randy and request a refund.
