Code P0113 Intake Air Temp Circuit Hi Input

Hey, I jsut got my replacement engine in, used of course, and runs fine andeverything but I am getting the code p0113, Intake Air Temperature Circuit High Input, where can I find this on a 97 2.4L twin cam? and what exactly is it? the mass air flow sensor in the air intake tube? Thanks!

You don't have a MAF sensor, you have a MAP sensor, It will be a little thing sticking outta the intake piping. But i don't think your IAT sensor is your problem, let me sleep on it and I will get back to you.

According to the GM service manual, if the IAT sensor is out it will throw this code, so I say replace it, and see if it give you anymore trouble. It is 12 bucks at advance and a hell of alot cheaper then any other problem it could be so sounds like a good place to start.

we have told you it is in your intake piping, goto the parts store and pick you one up, then come home and look in you intake piping for it.

I dont know where that is? My cold air intake pipe? the sensor that goes in there is a mass air flow sensor isnt it?

the 2.4 does NOT have a MAF (Mass Air Flow) it has a MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure). the first sensor on your intake the one right after the filter is the IAT. the one that was a bitch to put in you must unplug it and pull it out put the new one in gently they break if you just jam them in then just plug it up clear the code and if nothing else is wrong you should be fine. oh and it would be the cause for bad MPG it helps in deciding how much fuel is needed based on the temp of the air going into the engine.

yes, it would be the one in your cold air intake pipe, and no, that is not a MAF sensor, as already stated, your car does not have one of those

and without your IAT sensor working properly, the computer will go into some default mode and will use more gas
