Re: Converting the BMW M1 Protour into a Ferrari Daytona 365 GTB/4 LeMans

Buddy the decals job seem perfect and all gone well with Sol and stuff... but....

there's also a little but (not butt) LOL

shit, you spent weeks, months, years, centuries asking for correct "privy's cyan" match (LOL) and you skip 2 mins to sand dowm the (HUGE) mold line in the A-pillar? There're a couple of spots where the mask job didn't gone so well... may you touch up with a brush? With the help of a better mask?

Just a couple of little mouse crap LOL for all other the job is great: bravizzzimo!

P.S. I know Steve (the UKSteve, not the UKPLSteve ) feel pain at his poor arms due to massive mixing and stirring operation and he wouldn't accept order left for the summer....

Re: Converting the BMW M1 Protour into a Ferrari Daytona 365 GTB/4 LeMans

Honestly stevenski, I am a lazy person.

I have to admit then that I m' about to do something rather stupid, but I think mostly sums up what I ve been thinking and wondering. And as the saying goes, I shall only say this wence (remember allo allo), I shall also only say this wence.

So listen Up, I shall say this wence. Okay, so I guess this canvas that's white and is staring at me and teasing me to write stuff on it is really like letting go a red piece of cloth in front of a bull. Not that I 'm a bull or anything, just like your Ex-lamborghini Bmw, right?

Eitherway, back to trying to say what i only said wence, is the following statement. I was looking at the Alfa Monza thread and was actually a bit overwhelmed at what I saw. Just as with you and many builders, you guys should just stop modeling or you'll kill it, all other things look like ,to put it plainly, POO

And actually when seeing that monza thread I had a comment that is a bit like the next alinea

Quote:
Wow, wow, wow. It's almost as beautiful to bring tears to my eyes. This is truely a stunning looking car, dare I say model! It's hugely detailed and you're doing such a spectacular job on. Absolutely a thread to keep watching,

don't hurry the build and keep us waiting forever. Like another season of lost.

Oh and just out of curiosity, what would it take you to part from your models, I mean have you ever sold a model? I mean to musea and private collections? and so, what would it take you to sell it? Just out of curiosity, I m not a billionaire (yet)

Cheerio and carry on!
So basically, I saw it and went to this thread, well and with many other modelers, i was just wondering the exact same thing. Great minds think alike. Erm, or atleast that's what my other half said.

With the perfect usage of the smileys, i leave you wondering .

ciao pally!

You forgot Millennium and eon

OK buddy, I'm looking but I honestly don't see it
There was a horrible piece of shit molding on the passenger A-pillar that I thought I had managed to remove but I can't see what you mean (I'm not saying that it's not there, just that my old eyes can't see it )

Yep, there are 2 places where I ran out of sea by a cat's whisker. When all the decals have dried off fully, I will mask of and just touch up with the Iwata.
But if what you mean is the front driver-side wheel arch, there is actually a decal that goes over that bit of white.

he sure did mix me a lot of paint! But I think his arm is hurting more from lifting his pints of British beer

Yep I see, not a mold line and honestly I have no idea how to manage it, it's just bad molded, if you sand down it become smooth, that may be more crappy than now , at least I guess at naked eye isn't so crappy?

Better too early than too late or not at all!
And anyway, you are more or less right. I just couldn't see what else I could do with it.

Yep It DOES look good in the naked eye and I AM very pleased with how it looks.

I'm enjoying this car a lot. I'd love to do a Warhol version if there are any decals for that

Looks awesome.
I see that your rear "Dunlop"-Sticker is as odd as mine. I couldnīt find a way to correct it. Did you? It might just be one of the flaws which appear to be uncorrectable!
