Any companies make a computer programmer for a 92 Suburban w/ a 350?
All that I have found so far are for OBD2 systems.

The 92 is a change the prom deal.
Programmer does not work on a chip.
Why do you want to program it?

Tampering with emissions rules and regulations.

I'm trying to get a little more power and fuel economy out of the thing.
Trying to do research to see what products, if any, will help (including intake kits, TBI spacers etc)

It is hard to get both.
More power more gas it burns.
What kind of gas mileage does it get?

You have to figure how long it will take to recover the cost of "after market" stuff in fuel savings, and if you sit down and punch some figuires it will take a long time!! As MT says HP=$$. I spent a lot of $$ on K&N FIPK (too loud) and Volant CAI on my '98 Sub 7.4. Now I'm back to totaly stock with a Hypertech hand held tune (not avaliable for you). Previous mileage with all the "after market" stuff was 12-13.5 mpg. My last fill-up in a 44 gal tank (38 gal's) gave me 15.5 mpg. (And yes I'm serious!!)

The point is I've tried that stuff and it didn't pay off for me.

Keep it stock, tuned and use an AC-Delco air filter and spark plugs.

I haven't had a chance to offically check the mpg yet. However I can get just over 600 miles per tank (600 / 42 = 14.28mpg). I does need more power however, I was pulling a 2 axle flatbed single car trailer today (unloaded), and it seemed to be struggling quite a bit going uphills. I've recently replaced the plugs and airfilter.

I'd like to get more power with better fuel economy obviously, however, if I could do more power without loosing any fuel economy I'd be happy.

Also, any truths to Amsoil's advertisements that using their oil will increase fuel economy?

Like I said, I'd rather do the research now to find out if something works or not before I find out the hard way that it doesn't.

Most of the oil ads on fuel mileage is snake oil.
As said more power and gas mileage is going down.
I would go for a good tune up and hope for the best.
Also driving habit plays a big part on mileage.
Easy take off and easy stops and keep your foot out of it.
You have a big heavy truck.
They are not going to be great on gas mileage.
If you can get around 15 MPG learn to live with it.
As 777stickman said that mod stuff made his less mileage.
