Question Can you play dvds on nav unit?

I just got my 2005 tahoe with the navigation headunit and was wondering if it was possible to play dvds on the front navigation screen. It has a dvd player to play the map dvd but it wont play a regular dvd. Is there something I can do to make it play regular dvds as well. Thanks for your help, Ryan.

Re: Can you play dvds on nav unit?

Nope, the radio is designed only to play the Nav. disks. Would be nice if they would though. Might get in trouble with the po-lice.

Re: Can you play dvds on nav unit?

only the 07's will. There is a piece from tv nav you can get and with a seperate dvd player, you can watch it through the factory screen. It has to inputs, so you can also add a backup cam.

tv nav = 718-763-7367 ask for vinny (owner)

they usually overnight it...it cost $250 and in Ga. most places charge 100-150 for install.
