99 Malibu : stalling, P0102, and rough 1-2 shift

Problem just started last week. Wife came out of grocery store and the car started then instantly stalled after the car started moving forward. It stayed running on the next start. Immediately on leaving the parking lot it shifted rough from 1st to 2nd and then the CEL came on. Same thing happened at the next store she stopped at. When she got home I took it out for a drive and the CEL was off and it showed no symptoms and ahifted fine. Fast forward to today. After being at a friend's house for 30mins, car started then instantly stalled. On the 3rd try it stayed running but stalled after I put it in drive. Had to start it in neutral and give it gas as i shifted into drive to keep it running. After that it hasn't stalled all day but it still shifts rough from 1st to 2nd no matter if you slowly or quickly accelerate. Advance Auto pulled the P0102 MAF Circuit Low code this afternoon. Any ideas?

Check the MAF sensor and see if there is any debri on it or the screen. You can use "computer keyboard" cleaner that comes in a spray can. Check the wire filaments of the MAF sensor to see if they are broken or look burnt.
