help! squeel from 96 aurora

goodmorning, i have a rough constant squeel from trans area in car. not for sure its trans. i hear it in park, neutral , and when driving, if in gear don't hear if i have brake on. noise irritating and kind of loud. you can hear inside and outside car. its on the driverside underhood. of course you can hear good under car too. are there any belts on driver side under hood. don't sound like water pump pulley. sound is a little further back, but sound carry too. it quiet up a little as car run. just a little

Re: help! squeel from 96 aurora

Dude--I haven't experienced the same thing you are describing, but please, you don't need to make more than one post on the subject. One post is sufficient. We get the idea--your transmission is squeaking. We've read your posts, and obviously don't have a solution or we'd offer one. Hopefully someone that knows something about transmissions will drop by at some point. Be patient--you're not always going to get your answer the day you ask your question.

G.--
