1999 bmw 528i driver seat adjustments

yesterday i was able to adjust the driver seat to go forward and backward. today i cannot get the driver seat to adjust. i replaced the appropriate fuses for this problem (slot 13 (30 amp) and slot 21 (5 amp)) with fuses i know that work in other slots and still have the problem. Any thoughts before i call the dealership and get ripped off?

p.s. the passenger seat adjusts ok but when i removed the fuse for it, it did the same as the driver seat. so i suspect some other problem is present with the driver seat.

check behind the plastic cover on the side of the seat that has the seat adjustment switches on it. there is a big plug that looks like its from a printer with like 20 wires going into it.

sometimes this plug comes of from the back of the seat adjustment switch panel. this happened multiple times to my 2000 528i.

just plug it back in if this is the problem, hope it helps

Same exact thing with my 1998 528i... but in addition my steering wheel adjustment does not work and my A/C, heat, temp dispay and fan do not work. any suggestions?
I talked to a guy and he said if the horn is not working it is the ignition (the horn works)....however I read someplace that there is a module under the seat (i cannot locate it)

any help would be appriciated

Check your fuses. All the HVAC controls should be on one fuse. So take a quick look.
