ZCGUYS! starting Issues help (end swap)
My friends ZC is having troubles starting after his swap
Everything looks good, But it wont turn over turns the key, all you get is the starter, wont kick in I faintly smell gas as well (might just be me on crack though) Any suggestions where to look first? |

well we did Traivs_118's swap his starter was bad that came with the tranny. All it would do is click. so we swapped starters out. then finally we had the plug wires wrong and then it started up.

Have you guys made sure you have spark, if you do next step is to make sure your timing is correct, if your timing is way off the car wont start. Inspect those two things, and then come back if it still isnt going.

When I did my swap there were two wires the same color that had to be moved to the ZC Plug....it was a matter of testing to get them in the right spots...one way the engine wouldn't fire and the other obviously it worked...so look at that....also your firing order on the cap could be wrong....I believe it goes 1-3-2-4 (correct me if I am wrong ) I am also fairly sure if you look at the cap there is a C on it and that is 1....hope some of this helps
