transmission prob
hey guys i have a 87 toyota camry 115,000 miles on it, auto, power everything. when i need 2 put more transmission fluid in it i went out and bougt it so i got 10-w-30, i thought thats all i had 2 know but then later on it ends up that i read oil on it and its already in the reansmission and i'm gussing that is y my car is not moving. is there any way that i can fix this without putting a new transmission in it if there is please let me know couse i only have like $1200 saved up 4 a new car. thx

10w-30 is motor oil. Your transmission needs a specific transmission fluid that is completely different from motor oil; probably Dextron 2 or Dextron 3. If the car won't move at all your only hope is to have it towed to a shop that has a machine to do a complete transmission flush of all the fluids, and have that done. It will cost about $100 plus the tow. Keep your fingers crossed that it works, but I'm rather skeptical. At this point it's your only hope.

well i'm gonna have a guy that does cars come out and do that, but after we do that step could i put new atf in it? and would that be the reason y smoke comes out of my car becouse of the oil. i hope that ths will work. and like b4 i put oil in on the road it would switch 2 the next gear like i had 2 press hard on the gas and the rpm would go up 2 like 6 or 7000, does that mean i ned a tune-up as well or what would couse that problem?
