Hoovers.com

Sorry but this is one of those "Hey help a brotha out" threads . I'm doing my final project for my Business Policy class and having a Hoovers account would be supremely helpful at the moment... or somtime before Tuesday evening.

Specifically, I'm looking for industry information in Home Furniture since I'm doing a strategic plan for a furniture store here in Tallahassee. I'm trying to get the good stuff from Hoovers (comparison charts, trend stats, etc) but I don't have a subscription anymore. Anybody out there have a Hoovers account they'd allow me to use?

Re: Hoovers.com

Just saw your post.

Is Hoover's a furniture store in Tallahassee, or is this the vacuum company?

I had to do an Internal Audit Report in my Strat. Business Management class back in college. So it's probably really similar to this. Are you having to do a SWOT analysis and various matracies?

If I can have a bit more info I'd be willing to help you out.

Edit: I realize what Hoovers site you're talking about. Still, give me so more info as long as you haven't completed the project already.

Re: Hoovers.com

Thanks but we completed the project and turned it in wednesday I actually didnt need Hovers in the end since the guy who owned the furniture store backed out on us and we did the project on my friends barber shop instead.

But yeah, we had to do all kind of matrices IFE, EFE, SPACE, IE, etc plus SWOT analysis and ISWOT. I actually like doing that type of stuff but it was hard having to think of stuff like political threats to the barbershop

Very cool!

My professor was very adamant in us doing 2 audits. One in a group and one individually. We did Playboy in the group and I did GE on my own. Lots of work, 30 hours probably to complete the one on my own.

Never was sure how it would fit in the real world, but enjoyed the prof and the class. Then I began my job and some of the things in the audit were discussed in the "mandatory" meetings we attend yearly.

How'd you do, A?
