Power window motor assembly removal

Can anyone tell me how to remove the power window motor assembly (left front driver side) from a 1997 Camry?

I have already removed the panel from the door and after removing the last 5 nuts, the motor assembly is still stiffly attached. I would greatly appreciate if you can also provide some pictures for me to look at.

Might be apples and oranges but, I recently changed the same assembly on a 94. The motor was held by 3 nuts and the guide was held on by 3 nuts, top/bottom/middle. 6 total nuts. Sorry, no pics.

OP, You might want to consider replacing the whole regulator/motor assembly as a unit. Check Ebay for the parts.

You are right, there are 6 nuts to remove. But in addition, you need to remove the window glass first (remove the 2 bottom bolts holding the glass) in order to remove the power window assembly. I found out about that extra step by looking into a Chilton's repair manual, not the Toyota repair manual.

Yup, the brain remembers now. I did remove those two bolts but, I just slide the glass up and held it there with duct tape.

OBTW - After I changed the drivers window regulator, I ran all the windows up and down and found the drivers side rear window wouldn't go up. Arghhhhh!!!! I can change a regulator blindfolded now.
