slow starter
ok i got a 94 camery and when i put it in drive and i can push the pedal down to the floor and it will only go about 5mph until it hits about 3000 rpm and then takes off and i just cant figure it out

Wow. This is an odd one. I'm thinking it's either transmission or fuel related. Are you saying it takes a long time to reach 3000 rpm when you punch it. How long? If that's the case then I would think fuel and probably fuel pump. If it's reaching 3000rpm at a normal rate but, it's just not accelerating, it could be the transmission or just the torque converter.
Have you serviced the tranny lately? I would put a new filter and fluid in it and see if it changes anything. If the fluid smells burnt or is dark brown I would have the tranny flushed and replace all the fluid. You may have serious damage if you see this. To check the fuel pump connect a pressure gauge at the fuel rail and see what pressures the pump is producing both at idle and under load. More details may help.

it will take about ten seconds or more to reach about 3000 rpm but it seems like when you feather the pedal the car moves much faster like it has more time to keep up and now the idle is up about 1200 thats about what i got
