88 Jeep Cherokee Pioneer won't start
Hey my Jeep turns over but won't start. We changed spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, and rotor buttons, and still the same result (and we verified it was getting electricity and gas), So how do I check the compression (or repair it if that is the problem)? Also when you start the engine, you can hear some pressure release from the engine. Help please!!

Re: 88 Jeep Cherokee Pioneer won't start
Check for spark at the coil first.
If you have no spark then look at the following: 1. Crankshaft position sensor 2. Ingition coil 3. Ignition module (test it at auto parts store) 4. Camshaft position sensor AKA stator or pickup coil (located inside distributor) Mike |
