Hello all,
My power steering cooler (bent tube below the radiator) has been leaking for some time. It's getting worse now and I think I'll replace/repair it. Does anyone have any suggestions or parts sources for this? I can't seem to find any on ebay or elseware. I suppose I could build my own. Thanks. |

Re: 95 Safari Power Steering Cooler
if its a rub-thru and not corrosion causing the leak- I'd use swageloks- cut the bad spot out of the pipe and use these marvelous couplers to splice it back together- you can google swagelok for more details

Re: 95 Safari Power Steering Cooler
The cooler line can be made out of 3/8" steel brake/fuel line available at most auto parts stores. Bend it to the proper shape with a tubing bender. It can be held in place with plastic cable ties if the original brackets are rusted out. Total cost... about $5. An option would be the dealer for a new one... probably $40.
