Very nice work Phil!
You make rims man, RIMS from scratch! That's incredible IMO
I too like the the body modifications.

Re: first road car WIP: Mini Cooper - Roadster Concept

Hi buddies,

thanks for your enquiry about this project.

I must confess it's sleeping at that time...
This one and the 99 RA Sub', too...
and what about the AF 60 red years 612 scaglietti...?
Project on which I already started working on weeks ago, fortunateley without starting a WIP here before being sure to go to the end...

New job, new timetable, not much time any more for modeling...
the only free time I have for the moment goes to the current rallye and hill climb racing season of my pilots association...

I'm confused to have stoped at that part of the build.
I will try to come back to the body painting work, to have something to share before being able to find enough time to come back to the time consuming scratch building and inside work.

But one thing is sure: I won't let this project fall down !

Thanks for your support !

Maybe of topic but what kind of car do you drive in rally and hill climb? Nice to hear there are scale 1:1 rallydrivers here too I'm currently about to take my license for rally and will hopefully drive in the future

Well, in fact I don't drive myself in official competitions, I've sometimes been codriver, but I still don't own my own car.
I only drove a car in "navigation" (?) rallying (something close to historic rallies rules, some marks to find along the roads themselves to find not to loose points, without time sections to race through, to determinate winner)
My time given to the association mostly consists in making photos & articles for the newspaper, organizing and participating to some events linked to our activities (which are sports car in competition and hobby + modeling + different events linked to the city and country activities or to the ones of our sponsors - open house of a car brand for example...) and assuming all marketing affairs (sponsorship, etc etc).

In 2007 the cars in our association are two Peugeot 106 rally (category N1 = production under 1400 cm3), one Peugeot 205 rally (same as both 106's) and a Subaru Impreza GT (category N4) all driven in hill calimb and rally according to the different events rules. (the Sub' cannot be driven in non national hill climb events for example)
