Codes 1135 and 1155

My wife's Camry has the engine light on and the sticker is expired, so I need to take care of this right now. Since I live on a very narrow budget I took it to Advance Auto Parts to have the fault codes and two codes showed: 1155 and 1135. Both of them show this as the description: " Manufacturer Control. Fuel Air Metering". The guy that scanned the codes told me it was the first time he saw those codes, and that he had no idea which parts would I need. Does anybody here know? I really need to take care of this right now because I have a trip out of town next week and I need to use that car.

The exact model is Camry LE V6 2001. If anybody can tell me what parts I need to replace and point me to a link with a tutorial (or at least tell me if it's relatively easy to do if I buy the Hanes service manual) I would realy appreciate it.

Thanks,

Sebastian

Re: Codes 1135 and 1155

1135 is the bank 1 sensor 1 air/fuel sensor heater circuit.
1155 is the bank 1 sensor 2 """

Look in the Camry Service Manuals thread at the top of the forum for your model year maintenance manual for more info. Air/fuel sensors are formerly known as oxygen sensors. It's likely the sensors need to be replaced but, could be wiring, poor connections or the ECM as well. The manual should have test procedures you can use to determine the problem.

Re: Codes 1135 and 1155

If you replace the sensor(s), bring your VIN to a Toyota parts department and get the correct part numbers. Make sure you get the correct HO2 or A/F ratio sensor.
