Fuel gage not working

2001 3.1 Lumina. Fuel gage doesn't work. Is this a separate item that I can replace or do I need to replace the whole fuel pump? Thanks.

Re: Fuel gage not working

The fuel level sensor is available separately. AC-Delco part number is SK1023, GM dealer #25323327.

Re: Fuel gage not working

Be careful when working with an open fuel tank.
Another pleasant thing with the tank is that it's relatively easy to unmount
but it's not an easiest job to put it back. Finally, I had to use a jack (and a
piece of wood between the jack and the tank) to hold it tight when I was
putting the bolts on place.

Re: Fuel gage not working

Since you have to drop tank anyway, you should consider a new fuel pump and strainer.
