Then again, a cop might exactly hope you don't think they'd drive a red Caprice of 20 years ago with black rockers and an FMIC logo ...

BTW, my car is very quiet, but it does go rumpity-bumpity at 600 RPM.

What transmission do you have in there, anyway?

Well... eh. I've got no argument. If I were a cop... or anyone at that matter, I'd be proud to drive your car.

With the way my car's running right now, you'd have me easily. As far as if/when I ever get it all set up right and running at it's peak... I'd say yeah we'd be close. Sometime's I kick myself for ridding the car of it's ECM, but when you do get it right, it makes it all worth it just because I enjoy tuning an engine. I love to pop the hood and tweak a little. When the computer did everything for me, I'd pop the hood and think to myself, "Self... there's nothing I can do. Everything's running right." I'll admit, it's nice having the computer do all the work, but like I said, I really enjoy tuning and fiddling and tweaking just to see how good I can get it. Where I'm at right now it sucks though because I'm at a loss, and everyone else seems to be at a loss. I'm hoping running the engine cooler will help with the detonation issue. Then I can re-advance the timing and the fun stuff begins.

Me? TH700-R4. Nothing special. I still don't have the TCC wired up yet.

Re: 2 Quick Engine Questions

Yeah, the reason I asked what the transmission was is due to the real low 1st gear that's on a TH700/4L60. If you had, say, a TH2004R, then yes I'd smoke you off the line. So far, the real difference is gearig on the two cars - IIRC you have 2.73s, where I have 3.08. It's not a big difference, it'd give my car a slight advantage off the line, but you'd catch up to it.

Now, if we raced through a slalom course, then yeah, I'd kill you (figuratively speaking of course).

Re: 2 Quick Engine Questions

Oh yeah I forgot to factor that in. You have a much tighter suspension don't you?
