bose amp

I have an '01 Denali that I've been told has a bad amp. It's located at the left rear adjacent to a cup holder, and my GM dealer says someone spilled some liquid there and it shorted out my left channel speakers. Wants an arm and a leg to replace. Does anyone know of an aftermarket source for replacement amps, and if indeed, this sounds like what caused me to lose sound in those speakers? The amp looks solidly sealed and I don';t know how any liquid could penetrate it. It's the Bose sound system that comes with the Denali; not sure if it's the premium or luxury, and I can't find a part number for it! Any help would be appreciated!
