2000 Crown Victoria P71. Need Help Please!!`

I just purchased a 2000 CVPI @ auction and have a leak in the rear just under the trunk.

It's a black plastic box maybe 1 foot X 1 foot. I found a link with a picture and it looks like it might have something to do with the shield to protect the tank in a rear end collision.

I'm looking for what it's called and if anyone knows how to fix it.

I think it's a shield to protect the vapor canister.

No That Plstic Box Has Nothing To Do With Shielding The Gas Tank From A Rear End Collision..i Recently Has A Bad Fuel Pump And I Thought Thaty Had Some Sensors To It But No..but They Do Lead To The Gas Tank..and I Thought It Was An Oxygen Sensor To The Gas Tank..
