What can i do with my car '96 Ford Taurus

I have a 96 ford taurus with 120,000 miles and the engine is bad. I want to get rid of it but is there anything i can sell off of it for money since in pretty good condition or is the only thing i can do is get it towed to the junk yard.

i have one myself with about the same miles...these cars were full of problems...no heat, bad water pumps...and they are ugly, etc etc etc...probably just as easy to have a junkyard come get it. they might throw you a few bucks if your lucky. the parts are popular. i think ford sold about a billion of these cars. so parts are a plenty and cheap. throw a parts available ad in your local free paper if ya want to take a chance on time...otherwise junk it....just my advice..others might suggest otherwise. good luck

I was thinking about replacing the engine but is there no point.

If you can do it youself then yeah i would atleast to have another car on hand just incase somthing happeneds, or just replace the engine and throw it up for sale , that way you have a gas saving car and people want that type of thing now since hte gas prices are so high. That's just my but it really has to be your choice on wether to keep it or sell it.

Do you have a local "pick and pull" type salvage yard in your area? I have a couple and they advertise in our local paper that they buy cars and will tow them for free. They then put the car in their yard for people to cannibalize what they need.

I'm with Marsal420. Fix it and sell it. You can say you just replaced the engine and people will be more then happy to buy it!
