Question Power seat presets in a 2001 Silhouette

Does any one know how to reset the automatic seats in a 2001 Silhouette. We just bought the van from a used car dealership and unfortunately the owner's manual was not there. If anyone can help.

THANK YOU

Re: Power seat presets in a 2001 Silhouette

If it is like my Silhouette 2002, this is what I do. First, get the seat in the position that you want, then hold in the number 1 button on the dash until you hear a beep. Don't let go of the button until you hear the beep. Once you hear the beep, the seat position is set in the memory. The seat can be set in position for another driver by using the number 2 button the same way you set the number 1 button.

When someone moves the seat out of the position you like, just push and release the numbered button that is set to the position for you. I use the number 1 button and my wife is the number 2 button.

Hopes this helps.

Re: Power seat presets in a 2001 Silhouette

I recall that if you go to the GM owners site, you can register your vehicle and you can download a .pdf of the owners manual. I know I did it for my Montana, so perhaps you can do the same for the Silhouette! Not quite as nice a one in the glove compartment, but hey, it's free!

Glen

UPDATE: Just checked, and you can get a .PDF of the file....Glen
