Question Aftermarket EBRAKE HANDLE for 2007 MX-5

I recently purchased a 2007 MX-5 Touring Edition with the PRHT. The stock ebrake handle is nothing to look at. I am looking to replace it with a MOMO universal fit handle. Does anyone know if this will fot the 2007 model? It appears that the stock ebrake handle will come off, but only if you cut it off as it appears to be form fitted where ir meets the boot. Has anyone replaced theirs with an aftermarket.? I suspect the 2006 model is the same? Please share youur experiences?

Thank You,

Rene
