Gasket questions
2003 P71
I need a throttle body gasket now and I can't get one till Wed from Ford. Can I make my own gasket with gasket paper? I have access to the cork gasket to cut my own gasket will that work? I also want to take off my upper plenum to clean it. From what I rember there is an o-ring type of seal that stays on the intake manifold. Does the o-ring need to be replaced? |

Re: Gasket questions
You can probably fashion a gasket from gasket paper, just make sure the thickness is close to teh same, and you might want to use sealant between layers to prevent leaks. Can't help you with the "O" ring question

Re: Gasket questions
there is no upper plemium on that its the complete intake and I wouldn't mess with it if there isn't a serious problem.

Re: Gasket questions
I thought that the tube that runs from the throttle body to the intake manifold is a seperate piece from the intake. It appears to be held on with four bolts.
