mis fire problem

Check engine light comes on so i read the code ,misfire 4 and 6 ,also had a slight miss ...put new wires on cause i saw where 4 and 6 had been rubbing .thought for sure that was it .nope ,still got a mis .replaced 4 and 6 fuel injecter .replaced 4 -5 -6 plugs . Still got a miss ,...any suggestions please.

What year and which engine? Do cylinders 4 and 6 share a coil?

96 4.0 pushrod -and no 4 and 6 do not share same coil

You may want to check the compression of the cylinders to see how similar 4 and 6 are to the rest of the cylinders. As you are probably aware, you need 3 things for the cylinder to fire properly, good compression, proper air/fuel ratio, and good spark in proper timing.

Also, did the plugs from cylinders 4 and 6 look different from 5? Were they moist?

the cylnder 5 plug looked new and 4 was a little rusty colord and 6 was dry like it was nt getting fuel .so anyway i found a fuel leak ,i had mashed a couple o rings on the rail to injector ,fixed that and the check engine went out but still have a rough idle.

ok, its still has a rough idle only everything else is ok .the code reader isnt reading a mis fire anymore it now reads a code for lean bank ,any help?

Sounds like you probably have a vacuum leak, air entering after the MAF sensor, or an EGR issue (DPFE maybe).

isnt there a code for faulty EGR?Ill check for leaks i guess.Ill let you know what comes up .Thank you for your help,oh and BTW what is DPFE?

There are some codes for EGR issues, but the code will only be set if the problem is gross enough.

DPFE is Differential Pressure Feedback EGR. This sensor monitors the position of the EGR valve with respect to where it thinks it should be. Some of the parts stores refer to it as the EGR position sensor.
