2001 Diamante AC - no air from center ventss
Hi,
The AC seems to work well except I cannot get much air from the center, lower or upper vents. I have cold air from the two side vents. I tried to change the direction of the air flows, it didn't work. The problem occurred after I changed the direction of the air from all front vents to the leg area on a very hot day. The next time I started car, I could only get very little air from the center fronts vents. I tried all options on the control panel and had no success. Any ideas? Thanks very much! Eric |

Re: 2001 Diamante AC - no air from center ventss
Hi Eric,
Have you gotten any reply on this? Just happened to my '02 Diamante as well. Side AC vents work fine, but the center vents, as well as the defrost vents on the windshield and the vents that lead to the leg area send out almost no air at all. And the fan IS blowing HARD!! Just happened yesterday. George |

Re: 2001 Diamante AC - no air from center ventss
Hey I saw that you were having a problem with your A/C vents. I have a 01 Diamante and about a year ago I noticed after always being really comfortable in my car it was always cold and I like the floor setting so it's not blasting in my face. Well, I found out on the driver side under the dash towards the middle consel there's an arm that moves when you push the buttons to each setting (this one being the floor setting). It would pop out of place every now and then. Just get under there with a flashlight and it's very easy to figure out how it goes. It's always good to have someone sit in the car with you while doing this. So, they can change the settings while you watch the arm move. I know it seems like shooting in the dark on what is suppose to hook up to where and what to put back together, but just watch the arm each time the person changes it. You'll figure it out trust me. Make sure when they push the buttom they allow it the arm to fully move before switching it back again.
