Air Conditioning Not Cold

I have a 2001 Sunfire and, as the title demonstrates, I'm having some trouble with my air conditioner: I turn it on, and the air isn't cold, nor does it ever get cool. I assume it's something simple, but I really haven't a clue. Any ideas on what the problem might be and how I could go about fixing it?

Go to your local parts store and buy a recharge kit with gauges. About $30.00.

If your system doesn't hold the charge, You can also buy a kit with dye in it, that you fill the system, then check the AC components and hoses for leaks with a black light (ultraviolet bulb).
