Re: 95 bonnie dies
Welcome to AF. So the ineffective repair , the pcm you paid for and did not the fix the car stays in there, what is their rational for that misdiagnosis. I'd insist they take it out and refund your money. Anyway, both these repairs are unusual, I hope this fixes the car, have my own opinion here. Good Luck and post back if you have any additional problems.

Re: 95 bonnie dies
What kind of stalling out are we talking about?
When the car stalls does the Tach drop but all of the other gages remain functional? Such as the speedo? Does the car always restart? Does it stall out at all when cold or just after it has warmed up..? |

Re: 95 bonnie dies
Could be any of a few things...
First check the Battery cables and make sure they are clean... There have been a lot of issues with the Positive cable.. And the cars systems are dependent on a constant 12v field... Thats a no cost check.. Also they may want to check all of the Ground Buses on both the driver and passenger side foot well as they do get wet and or at times corroded, this can cause all sorts of electrical issues as well.. |

Re: 95 bonnie dies
I won't expound to the detail I did in another thread, but my '93 SE would randomly die while driving down the road... I swapped in a new (used from eBay) coil-pack (all 3 modules) and it's been fine since.

Re: 95 bonnie dies
Friday night at midnight I returned home from work in my trusty '95 SE. I parked in the driveway like usual. She wasn't driven for the remainder of the weekend until 46 hours later on Sunday night at 10 P.M. At that time, the first time since she was purchased new in Feb. '96, she wouldn't start.
She's been perfect until now. Luckily, this happened while parked a home. What's strange is the problem occurred while parked in my driveway between Friday and Sunday night. The first thing I checked was to make sure my gas didn't get siphoned. The dumped about a gallon in the tank and the the gas meter reads about 3/4 full. Which is about where it was at when I parked the car Friday night. The starter turns strong and there's plenty of cranking power from the battery. All of the electrical system seems to be working correctly. When starting the engine I've always turned the ignition key clockwise and stopped at the "pre-ignition / electrical system on" position before turning the key fully clockwise to the run position to crank the engine. With the key in the "pre-ignition" position I'll wait for what I thought was the fuel pump running to inject fuel to the fuel injectors. Then after a second or two of the fuel pump running I'd turn the ignition key fully clockwise to the "run / cranking" position to start the engine. But this time I noticed I don't hear the "fuel pump" running when I turn the ignition key to the "pre-ignition / electrical system on" position. I don't know much about this vehicles ignition and fuel systems. I've never had a need to service a problem like this before in the past. But, I'm thinking maybe a blown fuse or defective fuel pump. There are no system error codes shown on the dashboard. Can you offer any suggestions / advice? Thank you, wzvhyz4gm |

I have had this problem several times with mine. Each time it was a different problem. Crankshaft sensor, camshaft sensor, dirty grounds, bad wiring etc. Try the bonneville club, but do a search first. Lots of good info there! Good luck!
