Leaking front differential
My front differential is leaking and getting worse with time. My local repair shop told me that both half shafts have to be removed and the gasket needs to be replaced, which does make sense. Only problem is it is about $450 and money is kind of tight right now
Anyone have any suggestions or is this about the only option? Thanks

Re: Leaking front differential
I have a 96 and it was leaking from the rear of the Diff. and I took it in and it cost somthing like $150. so I would check another shop.

Re: Leaking front differential
Auto parts stores usually have aditives you can add to help stop leaks. I wouldn't recomend using it for long term as it might affect the oil structure of the existing oil, but it might be a short term fix.
