Re: Rough running 94 olds88
Welcome to AF. Pretty general question, does it have a dead miss? You need to pinpoint the symptoms a little better, the list is long for that description.

Re: Rough running 94 olds88
Wellllll...I'm not sure, but start with the MAF and EGR. I've known a few 94 88s where the EGR just stops working and it will run like total crap. Just take the EGR off and plus the hole where the exhaust gas go into the throttle body. If it runs better, that MIGHT be it, if not...then I dont know. Start with the obvious though.

Re: Rough running 94 olds88
The symtoms are it has a rough idle, and it idles at about 1100rpms, when you hit the gas it sounds like there is a miss on one of the cylinders, but when you push the gas pedal down slow it sounds fine, checked the MAF screen and cleaned it already, will check the EGR.
EDIT: Checked EGR working fine, checked the fuel filter, checked coal packs too and there working, checked wires and working, checked MAF again and it's working, checked all fuses and relays, there all working. Last edited by DB208508; 05-07-2007 at 05:05 PM. |

Re: Rough running 94 olds88
