Re: 94 Camry hesitation
Nope, not like that at all. The under the hood one is rectangular with a big platic hump in the middle and the one under the dash has a semi-circular design. I emailed a Ebay Seller to see if they haev any others versus what hey are selling. Wouldn't it be nice if cars were like KITT in Knight Rider? They could just tell us what is wrong with them...

Re: 94 Camry hesitation
Update and help again.
I did get a scan tool that works, I hope. My problem now id that it does not matter which plug I go into, The tool does not recognize anything and tells me that I am doing something wrong. I rechecked the instructions and did this several times to no avail. Could the ECM be bad? If so, where do you get a new one? Thanks guys |

Re: 94 Camry hesitation
Me again with an update and a question. I finally found a thord connector next to the inside fuses behind the "storage" bin, lower left drivers knee area.
I did get the codes to read but cannot figure out what STFT and LTFT banks 1 and 2 for each. The fuel systems 1 and 2 show an open loop. Should that be correct? Any help is appreciated.

Re: 94 Camry hesitation
Short-Term Fuel Trim and Long-Term Fuel Trim (see h44 below). Open loop is warm-up mode. Once the HO2 sensors (Banks 1 and 2) have been heated up and the engine is hot, the ECM starts metering fuel using a closed loop feedback from the HO2 sensors. The ECM runs the engine in open loop mode only under special circumstances after the engine is hot.

Re: 94 Camry hesitation
The codes show:
P1300 Fuel System 1 Open Loop- drive Fuel System 2 Open Loop- drive Calcluated LOAD 57.6 % Engine Coolant Temp 185 F STFT Bank 1 0.0 % LTFT Bank 1 11.7 % STFT Bank 2 0.0 % LTFT Bank 2 10.1 % Engine RPM 3008 RPM Vehicle Speed 57 MPH Intake Air Temperature 86 F That is all on the reader. Still a mind boggling issue to me? Thank Brian, Chris |

Re: 94 Camry hesitation
DTC P1300 indicates a bad IGF or IGT circuit between the igniter and the ECM, a bad igniter or a bad ECM (see page EG2-550 of the 1994 Camry manual stickied at the top of this forum).

Re: 94 Camry hesitation
The simple thing to do is to borrow an igniter and then replace yours with it and see if that solves your problem. Salvage yard may have your igniter.
Also, check the resistance of the ignition coils. If any are out of spec, replace them. Resistance:Primary Cold : 0.54–0.84 ohms, Hot : 0.68–0.98 ohms ![]()
