92 Cadillac Eldorado - What's the proper coolant temperature?
Hey everyone,
I live in Florida and have owned my caddy for a couple years now. When it gets hot outside, the car tends to overheat sometimes. I decided to change the thermostat. Now the car runs fine but the thermostat reads 199 degrees when its running and I'm wondering if that is too hot for normal operation. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. Thanks. |

No, that's a normal temp. My '94 Deville with the same 4.9 liter engine runs as high as 235 sitting in traffic. But usually it ranges from 190-205 driving.
