Pinks All Out

I watched it last night (probably rerun so what?) on Speed. So I've heard some horror stories about Moroso in Fl and I guess this illustrated it pretty well. They had some bad ass vehicles on the show but in the end most of them blew up, which was pretty sad. Throughout most of it they showed how some awesome muscle cars, even a turbo Porsche 911, blew up and they had to be towed off the track, then everybody had to wait until the track was cleaned up to continue. It really was pathetic for these people to blow up their sweet ass cars just to be on camera for this show. By the time they got to the final 4, it was like after midnight and they called it quits because the temperature dropped to 45* and the left lane was squirrelly. It was so obvious and yet the track officials said it was okay. Even though one car smacked the wall and 2 others lost it but saved them in time although still losing the race. The final 4 agreed to settle for 2,500 each and call it a night. I felt pretty sorry for the old guy in the 1970 AMC Javelin who's car blew up in the final 8 round. Personally, I wouldn't risk blowing up my awesome car just for 10 seconds on camera...

Re: Pinks All Out

Sounded like a good episode. I agree with you on not wanting to trash my ride to be on TV. I find that on Pinks these dudes are usually loaded who are racing anyways. Remember that dumb ass in the civic that lost to the Camaro? That prick had to be loaded that car was done up.

Re: Pinks All Out

I remember that Civic. He had 20 lengths and still had his ass handed to him. Then he blamed the turbo not spooling or something. Pretty sad to make up excuses like that but it's even worse to do it on tv.

Some of those old muscle cars were just rediculous... nothing like a 10 second 57 Chevy Wagon... haha
