15k for a Car and have some ideas...

Hey I'm in the market for a new car and have around 15k in the budget. I am intrested in speed obviousley and i would like a decent looking car too. Gas effieciency isnt huge deal to me, and I want to go used. But anyways right now my main intrest is 04-05 Nissan Maxima (which I have seen fo 15k) or a Scion TC. So what do you guys think, should I got with the Maxima or the TC which i could slap some upgrades on. Or do you think you know a better car to go with.

WRX. The only car you'll ever need.

There is no way i would classify any Scion under "speed", even with upgrades.

Neither the Maxima nor the TC is generally associated with being very fast. Between the two, the Maxima will be a bit more powerful and the Scion will be a little more fun to drive. As sickcallawayc12 said, the Subaru WRX is a pretty good performance deal. Much more powerful then the Scion, much lighter then the Maxima, turbocharged engine, AWD.

There are all sorts of used cars that fit into your perameters. VW GTIs, Mustangs, Camaros, older Audi A4s or BMW 3-series, Dodge Neon SRT-4, and the list goes on... How old would you be willing to go?

I vote for the Nissan Maxima. It has better performance than the TC.
