to all off roaders... true story..
i really never saw the big hype about going off roadand underwater w/ your rodeo but lemme tell you the crazyist thing to happen to me n my rodeo
in elizabeth nj yestoray withh all the rain that came down all the rooads were flooded... i got to this point were everyone was turneing around cause the water was so high... being the asshole that i am i decided to go through cause it looked only tire high.... it was going smoothly till i pass an x-terra that was stuck w/ water until top of the grill i mean the thing was done, but my shit just keep on trucking....i water made it up to the begining of the opeong of the hood, i said to myself it over in done but never let go of the gas... there was so much water people were fillming me plowing through that shit... i was so excited to make it throught there... thank the lord i had a short ram cold air i think thats what saved my ass... i never seen any car make it though water that deep only those jeeps w/ those snorkel things... any ideas why i made it out like that.. any other stories are cool tooo.. |

Rodeo's can do some amazing things, I'll agree to that.
That's a lot of water though, I've never had either one of my Rodeo's that deep; I would recommend you to check your air filter for moisture, and, if you have an automatic, may want to drop that pan and put in some new fluid. If that auto sucks up water, it's toast. Depending how long you were in the water, may want to change your oil too. Wheel bearings should be ok, if you weren't in the water for long. I know on the older Xterra's, their main computer sits fairly low within the truck, once they're over a certain amount of water, they stall and cause a lot of damage - not just with the computer, but some have toasted their engines too. I've had the '97 Rodeo in water half-way up the wheel-wells, but never in more then the level of the auto tranny pan.
