Wow great to see the chevy people have alot going for them here

I think the SS adds about the same HP as a Type R sticker does on our hondas!

actually... depending on the year... the 94-97 got a better motor... 190hp vortec vs 160 or so hp...

not much else... 98 ss's could be had with the zq8 susp package...

uh...are u aware that a regular cab automatic ZQ8 S10 is the same exact truck as a 98 SS except for i believe a leather wrapped steering wheel and SS badges and bowtie??

You can also get them with the G80 LSD and as far as i know all automatics come with the 3.42 ratio with the 4.3 liter

And as far as a regular ZQ8 S10 is a second to a second and a half slower than an SS...unless its the 94-97 which may only be at most 2 tenths faster...

i was talking about extended cabs and yes the ss is faster due to the high output motor i have not crossed a regular cab v6 that has come close to beating me

imprtsyco you are running NA right? just bolt on?

that is very good for just bolt on's...fastest i have seen was a Red SS from california who ran a 14.2 all motor with all bolt ons and torque converter, slicks etc...

Good Job

good point man...good point indeed!

I can name about 15 trucks off the top of my head on
s-seriesforum.com that would beat you so badly InSiDiOusSS it would make you feel like you were driving a 3 cylinder metro.

There is always someone out there with a faster S-Series, or in your case about 250+ NA 4.3 liters not counting around 9,000 syclones and typhoons out there.

I dont even put a syclone in the same category as a regular V6 S10...theres just no comparison

Done Ranting
