Talking Please HELP 2001 Rodeo Won't Start

My 2001 Rodeo 6cyl automatic wont start once the engine is hot. It starts perfect in the morning but after driving it around town, it won't start and I have to do it a few times to get it started. I put in a brand new fuel pump relay and replace fuel filter. I'm thinking it might be the the fuel pump but not sure, please help me out and I don't want to pay dealer for getting it fix...thank you

Re: Please HELP 2001 Rodeo Won't Start

most likely it is a bad fuel pressure regulator (more info in the FAQ's).

Re: Please HELP 2001 Rodeo Won't Start

IF it dies when you come to a stop it may be a bad intake manifold gasket. If it dies when driving there is a good chance you have an electrical problem with once or more breaks in the wire harness.

Start the truck up and then pop the hood and tug on the harness on the drives side near the coil packs (the coils are over each plug).

More info on both of theses issues can be found in the FAQs.

Also, if you are the original owner and have under 120k the intake manifold gasket (if it is bad) is covered under warranty.
