I have a 2000 Rodeo LS with +120,000 kms and just got a recent tune up. I have had no serious problems with it before. Now when im stopped at a light, it starts to idle pretty roughly. When I start to accelerate it hesitates, stutters a bit and then finally goes. Any ideas? Thx

Re: rough idling
I would start out with the simple stuff. Clean the PCV and EGR port and Tube (read up in the FAQs).
If that doesn't help, you may want to replace the fuel filter. after that then it would think it is the intake manifold gasket (very common, I've had mine replaced 2x in my 2000; more info also in the FAQ's).

Re: rough idling
Check the air filter...(installed correctly, no obstructions, et cetera) Squirrels made a mess of mine at one point in time, leading to some of the same symptoms you are experiencing.

Re: rough idling
Did you have the tuneup done because it was running poorly, or just because it was due? If it started running roughly after, I'd make sure the correct spark plugs were used.
