Extra parts, need #'s!! (VC Gasket)

Anyone know the part # for the VC Gasket? I'm doing cam swap...

Also, i've heard theres no actual gasket for the oil pan, only silicone sealant. Is any hightemp silicone sealant okay for this?

-Phil

When you get the valve gasket, you should get the o-rings as well. They are part of the gasket kit. Hopefully Mossy did set you up and send you the whole kit. The o-rings are the part of the gasket that goes around each spark plug opening.

They, the dealer, were right. Probably charge you way more than Mossy would.

Mossy is a nissan dealer....

I didn't get a gasket kit with Orings, a few people i've talked to said it wasn't required...

Gasket is part # 13270-53J05 ??? I think. Its labeled Gasket-Rocker..(not sure if this is for my 94 P10... hm...... i thuoght we had solid lifters.)

On the gasket there are 3 semi-circle rubber inserts, ...

Mossy. I know. I meant the Infiniti dealer you went to initially.

As for the o-rings. It does not sound like you got the kit only the rocker cover gasket. The older gasket 'kit' came with the spark plug o-rings seperately. Meaning you ended up with 4 rings in a bag. The newer kits come with a o-ring gasket where all 4 rings were connected by a common connection. It is a one piece unit.

Both kits, old and new, should have two bags in the kit with the actual rocker cover gasket in one and the spark plug gasket/gaskets (o-rings) in the other. If not, you need to get them. They leak too over time and while your in their you should replace it all.

If you start to get oil in the cylinders where the spark plugs are it is becuase of the o-ring spark plug gaskets being old.
