Whining Sound after Starting (cold weather) 2001 Dodge Caravan
Hi everyone,
My 2001 Dodge Caravan omits a whining sound immediately after starting but only when the temperature is below freezing. This sounds lasts for about 2 seconds. When the engine is warm there is no whining sound. Could this be the drive belt? Any help or hint would be appreciated. Thanks! |

Thanks for the quick response! The sound definitly goes away that quick and does not appear during operation.
Is this in any way dangerous? |

Belts squeal. Power steering whines. Your two second noise is nothing to be concerned about.
